Shrinking
In for a penny, in for a pound. So the bag went back into the washing machine and came out considerably smaller! I don't think I'll ever be totally enamoured with this felting lark, but at least I've had a go. Will the bag ever be finished? Who knows.
I did finish the back of the Ribby Cardi at the weekend.
I thought it was a bit small when measured up against the jumper I'd used for reference, but I only have myself to blame as the gauge is bang on, stitches and rows, and this is it pinned out to the correct dimensions. After the experience with Tomato when the result was something akin to a red tent I thought I'd learnt my lesson, so the Ribby Cardi is planned to be snug. Let's hope my cunning plan along with attendance at Weight Watchers pans out.
I started the baby hat too (miles of 1x1 ribbing) and it's coming along very nicely. Unfortunately my old shoulder problem has reared its ugly head so I've been to the chiropractor. Don't feel too sorry for me, if at all; it's the first visit in two years. I've always been a headachy person, but they've been worse than normal for the past couple of weeks and when I started to wake up in the night with tingly fingers I knew the time had come to act. So no knitting tonight, and no marathons for a couple of weeks either. Talking of which, this is going to be short because I think an early, restful night and not too much typing is probably just what the doctor ordered.
But before I go, my 4th blogiversary is looming. I'm thinking about what to do to mark the auspicious occasion. My goodness, I had no idea I was going to stick to it this long!

Looking forward to seeing Ribby Cardi finished - I do like that colour. I've not knitted anything red, so waiting to see how it looks on you.
I've just begun attending ww as the lumps and bumps that were developing did nothing to enhance all the hard work I was putting into my knits. I had not realised how easy a plan it was to follow! I'm following the points system, which will suit me long term. I'm not a big person, just a little lumpy at the moment!
I've never been overly convinced felted bags were the way to go, although some do look fabulous in photos. Good luck, I hope the end result will be a happy one.
4th blogiversary - congratulations. I did not think I would ever venture further than one year, but here I am entering my third.
Do hope your shoulder problems pass quickly and you are able to get that red ribby done!
I agree with you. I don't really like felting all that much.
Stick with the bag...it looks great so far!
Good luck with WW, I suppose I ought to go back. Once I've made that first visit I really get into it, but it's making myself go that first time that's so difficult!
The ribbi cardi is coming along well, looking forward to seeing it finished.
I knit a bag last year, and while I do love it, I've yet to sit down and line it and assemble it. I think it will shape up for you. The cardi's looking great!
Nice bag. I've made one felted bag and wasn't thrilled with the whole process either.Hope your shoulder is better soon.

Hope your shoulder feels better soon. I love the bag, fab colours!
The Ribby Cardi's I've seen all look fairly snug so you should be fine.
Good luck with ww. I feel like the only person who has the opposite trouble - having to put weight on! Neither are much fun either.
Hope your shoulder gets sorted quickly. Not worth leaving it for long is it?
The ribby cardi looks great! I may have to try that pattern one day. I get tingly fingers sometimes too, but luckily DH can usually crunch and crack my back into a more comfortable position. Hope yours gets better soon. :-)
ove the colours:) Happy blogaversary. I like the mix of knitting and non knitting that you write and I love the pictures:)
